Solder resist is e.g. used to protect copper conductor tracks from corrosion and mechanical damage. Solder resist also prevents unwanted wetting of closely adjacent contact surfaces (solder bridges) during soldering. Different layers, different timings and different types of paint make the application of solder resist a complex process.
The decision for a suitable solder resist depends on the physical dimensions of the PCB, the holes, components and conductors, the surface layout and the final application for your product. However, different lacquer thicknesses often make it difficult to print the solder paste reliably and require an individually designed precision stencil. With our webinars we would like to support the users of our screens and stencils to improve the process reliability of the printing process and to avoid production complaints. This webinar is aimed at electronics manufacturing staff with a focus on precision printing, component assembly and soldering. In this webinar, we report on practical examples and proposed solutions.
We would like to share this valuable information with you.
