Stencil surface technology

The increasing miniaturization of SMD components necessitates ever higher precision in the manufacture of metal stencils. The release behaviour of the apertures is crucial for the printing process.

In laser-cutting, melting residues are formed at the stencil surface and the inner walls of the apertures. In many applications, in particular in the Fine Pitch range, such material changes are responsible for unclean or insufficiently printed depots.

Conclusion: Various surface methods markedly reduce these effects. It is adviseable to use our comprehensive consultation to decide for the best surface technology needed.
